皆さんこんにちは。「ReStarters」チームです。私たちはこれまで、高齢者が再び労働市場や社会に参加できるよう支援する取り組みを考えてきました。以前のブログでは、アンケート結果から得た事を基に、「英語講座」「デジタルリテラシー講座」の二軸から高齢者の再雇用という課題に向き合いました。

最後となる今回のブログでは、最終プレゼンテーションに向けて行ったビジネスプランの実現性の精査について詳しく記述しています。最後までご覧いただけると幸いです。

〇なぜビジネスプランの実現性精査が重要なのか？

→考えた案を’机上の理論’で終わらせない物にするためには、第三者目線からのアドバイスが必要不可欠です。

そこで私たちの班では3人の方に連絡を取りインタビューを行った結果、様々な改善点が見えてきました。

  1. Ca’ Foscari 大学英語教授Daniela CESIRI教授

改善点①　学生のための研修制度の充実

英語教育学を履修した英語学専攻の学生は既に必要な知識を持っているため、特別な研修は不要です。しかし、経済学専攻で知識が浅い学生には、指導法の研修など、教える側として気を付けるべき理論や方法を学ぶ必要があります。

改善点②　シニア世代が心地よく受けられる授業

学習者のコミュニケーション能力や過去の英語経験を把握したうえで、ニーズにに基づいたカリキュラムを練るべきです。つまり、学習者の経験を起点とした授業展開が必要です。また、対話練習を重点的に学習、従来の「ルール→練習→ルール→練習」のような文法重視ではなく、会話を通じた「楽しめる」学びを作る事がポイントです。

改善点③授業内容に関して

発音の違いや文化の違いなど、異文化間コミュニケーションを鍛えること、そしてビジネス英語のロールプレイを取り入れる事が重要です。

改善点①　資金援助方法に関する助言

大学の授業は様々な資金援助を受けて成り立っており、下記のような機関から援助を受けられる可能性を示唆して頂きました。

例）

  • National Public funds（MUR)イタリアの大学や研究機関・研究者に対し教育や研究活動を支援するための助成金や資金援助を提供する機関。
  •  European funds　EUが加盟国に対して提供する資金
  •  Regional and local funding　地元政府が学校に資金を提供することが多く、町の発展にも付与する。
  •  Partnership　NGOや銀行団体と協力した資金援助方法

改善点②　デジタルスキルコース

デジタル機器の利用は、私生活へ及ぼす影響が大きい。したがって、PCのプライバシー保護やウイルス対策の授業を取り入れる事を推奨された。デバイスを守ること＝心身の健康を守ること

大学教授に加え、さらに実際の会社から見たニーズを調査するべく、ベネチアにある中小企業にもインタビューを実施しました。

提案　ビジネス立ち上げ後の企業へ広め方

→地域のコンサルティング会社を介した情報拡散により効率化を図ります

  • CNAメストレ 幅広い業種・自営業や中小企業も顧客としています。
  • CONFartigianato　起業家や中小企業、職人を支援し、経済的な支援も行います。

→投資家や経営者を味方に付けることで、経済的な効果×口コミによる宣伝効果が期待できます。

以上のインタビュー結果を基に、私たちの既存の計画に修正を加え、最終的に前回よりも説得力の向上、そして実現性の高いプランへと昇華させる事が出来ました。

So far, we have been exploring ways to support seniors in re-entering the labor market and society. In the previous blog post, we discussed addressing the issue of senior re-employment by focusing on two key areas identified from survey results: “English courses” and “Digital Literacy courses.”

In this final blog post, we will provide a detailed overview of the feasibility assessment we conducted on our business plan as we prepared for the final presentation.

Why is it important to assess the feasibility of the business plan?

→ To ensure that the ideas we’ve developed don’t end up as mere “theories on paper,” it’s essential to incorporate advice from a third-party perspective.

With this in mind, our team reached out to three individuals and conducted interviews. As a result, we were able to identify several areas for improvement.

1. Daniela Cesiri, English Professor at Ca’ Foscari University

Improvement Point ①: Enhancing Training Programs for Students

Students majoring in English who have already studied English education possess the necessary knowledge, so special training is not required. However, students from economics or other majors with less knowledge need to learn teaching theories and methods to be aware of as instructors, including training in teaching techniques.

Improvement Point ②: Creating Comfortable Classes for Senior Learners

It is essential to design a curriculum based on learners’ communication skills and past English experiences. In other words, classes should be developed from the learners’ experience. Additionally, it is important to emphasize conversation practice rather than the traditional grammar-focused method of “rule → practice → rule → practice.” Creating enjoyable learning through communication is key.

Improvement Point ③: Class Content

Focusing on differences in pronunciation, cultural diversity, and strengthening intercultural communication is crucial. Moreover, incorporating role-play in business English is important for practical learning.

Improvement Point ①: Advice on Funding Assistance Methods

University courses are supported by various funding sources, and we were suggested the possibility of receiving assistance from the following organizations:

Examples:

• National Public Funds (MUR): An institution that provides grants and funding to Italian universities, research institutions, and researchers to support educational and research activities.

• European Funds: Funding provided by the EU to its member states.

• Regional and Local Funding: Local governments often provide funding to schools, which is also used to contribute to the development of towns.

• Partnerships: Funding assistance methods through collaboration with NGOs and banking organizations.

Improvement Point ②: Digital Skills Course

The use of digital devices has a significant impact on personal life. Therefore, we were recommended to incorporate lessons on PC privacy protection and virus prevention. Protecting devices = Protecting mental and physical health.

In addition to university professors, interviews were also conducted with small and medium-sized businesses in Venice to investigate the needs from the perspective of actual companies.

3. Carlo Rocchi, CEO of Brain Bee Inc.

Proposal: Expanding After Business Launch

→ We aim to streamline the process through information dissemination via local consulting companies.

Examples:

• CNA Mestre: Serving a wide range of industries, including self-employed individuals and small and medium-sized enterprises.

• CONFartigianato: Supporting entrepreneurs, small businesses, and artisans, also providing economic assistance.

→ By gaining support from investors and business owners, we can expect a combination of economic impact and promotional effects through word-of-mouth.

Based on the results of the interviews, we were able to revise our existing plans, ultimately enhancing their persuasiveness and making them more feasible compared to the previous version.
