A small recap

ecoDolo welcomes you back to our new and last Blog Post!
It has been a long journey, full of ideas, projects, dreams and also challenges.
Our group has lived the dream of participating in such a wonderful workshop, that gave us the possibility to work on our creativity, get to know the world of business and also know a lot of amazing people!

In order to give a clearer vision of our process of grow inside this project, we write a small timeline:

– First Workshop (18.10.2024)

We had the opportunity to meet each other in person, and exchange ideas and possible visions about the future of our project. During the first two weeks we elaborated some ideas, but the one which got our attention more was Tai’s idea of creating an app

– Second Workshop (07.11.2024)

During this period we tried to process Emma’s idea of creating a service that could promote the small activities of handmade or traditional food at Cortina and the cities near Cortina.
We thought that in order to protect Cortina’s -and Cortina’s surroundings- environment it could have been a great idea to let people know about all the beautiful initiatives that are all around the area. So we started to collect data about this possible project that we were trying to develop.
Keeping working on the project we then decided to change our plans to avoid developing the same ideas as other groups, so we tried other routes.
It’s during this period that I came up with a new idea: an app with a map of Cortina’s parking spots that permits people to book them. So we could avoid traffic, have a smoother flow of cars and avoid excess of Co2 in the environment of the Dolomiti.

– Third Workshop (13.12.2024)

Between the third and fourth workshop we had the winter break in order to do the exams, but we still managed to work on the project.
We contacted the makers of “Ciao Cortina” website, because it’s the one that permitted us to better understand the mapping of Cortina’s parking lots. 

We received an answer that directed us to another organization, which is Se.Am.

– Fourth Workshop (13.02.2025)

We used this period to contact Se.Am and develop our final idea of the app.
Thanks to the help of Chiara Tarondo, a master student of Japanese here at Ca’ Foscari, we created the mockup of the app, with all the functions and the options.

– Fifth Workshop (13.03.2025)

We presented to Mitsubishi’s representatives our final idea of the app.
Unfortunately, Se.Am still hasn’t answered us so we are a bit in a standstill.

ecoDoloの新しい最後のブログ投稿へようこそ！ アイデア、プロジェクト、夢、そして挑戦に満ちた長い旅でした。 私たちのグループは、この素晴らしいワークショップに参加するという夢を生きてきました。これにより、創造性を発揮し、ビジネスの世界を知り、多くの素晴らしい人々と出会うことができました！ このプロジェクト内での成長過程をより明確にするために、小さなタイムラインを書きました： 

– 第一ワークショップ (2024年10月18日) 私たちは対面で会う機会を得て、プロジェクトの未来についてのアイデアや可能なビジョンを交換しました。 最初の2週間でいくつかのアイデアを練りましたが、最も注目を集めたのはタイのアプリ作成のアイデアでした。

 – 第二ワークショップ (2024年11月7日) この期間中、エマのアイデアであるコルティナやその周辺都市の手作りや伝統的な食品の小規模な活動を促進するサービスを検討しました。 コルティナとその周辺環境を保護するために、この地域の美しいイニシアチブを人々に知らせることが素晴らしいアイデアだと思いました。そこで、この可能なプロジェクトについてデータを収集し始めました。 プロジェクトを進める中で、他のグループと同じアイデアを開発しないように計画を変更し、別のルートを試みました。 この期間中に私が新しいアイデアを思いつきました。それは、コルティナの駐車場の地図を提供し、予約できるアプリです。これにより、交通渋滞を避け、車の流れをスムーズにし、ドロミティの環境でのCO2の過剰を避けることができます。

 – 第三ワークショップ (2024年12月13日) 第三と第四ワークショップの間に冬休みがあり、試験を受けましたが、プロジェクトに取り組むことができました。 コルティナの駐車場のマッピングをよりよく理解するために、「Ciao Cortina」ウェブサイトの制作者に連絡しました。 私たちは別の組織であるSe.Amから案内された回答を受け取りました。

– 第四ワークショップ (2025年2月13日) この期間を利用して、Se.Amに連絡し、アプリの最終アイデアを開発しました。 カ・フォスカリ大学の日本語修士課程の学生であるキアラ・タロンドさんの助けを借りて、すべての機能とオプションを備えたアプリのモックアップを作成しました。

 – 第五ワークショップ (2025年3月13日) 三菱の代表者にアプリの最終アイデアを発表しました。 残念第四ワークショップ (2025年2月13日) この期間を利用して、Se.Amに連絡し、アプリの最終アイデアを開発しました。 カ・フォスカリ大学の日本語修士課程の学生であるキアラ・タロンドさんの助けを借りて、すべての機能とオプションを備えたアプリのモックアップを作成しました。 – 第五ワークショップ (2025年3月13日) 三菱の代表者にアプリの最終アイデアを発表しました。 残念ながら、Se.Amからの返答がまだないため、少し行き詰まっています。

Parking Situation in Cortina

Currently, excluding reservable parking spaces, there are approximately 820 parking spots available. However, due to the construction of Olympic facilities, 350 parking spots have been lost, making it necessary to create new parking spaces.

To address this issue, the Acquabona parking area has been expanded with 500 additional spots and will offer a shuttle bus service. Further improvements to parking are also planned. The redevelopment of the station area will add 602 covered parking spaces, while Largo Poste will gain 70 underground parking spots. Additionally, a ski lift connecting to the Tofane area will be introduced, making it easier to reach the ski resort without using a car.

These measures will improve accessibility during the Olympic period and leave behind a convenient parking infrastructure even after the Games.

コルティナの駐車場状況

現在、予約できる駐車場を除くと、約820台の駐車スペースがあります。しかし、オリンピック施設の建設のため、350台分の駐車場が減りました。そのため、新しい駐車スペースが必要になっています。

この問題を解決するために、Acquabonaパーキングは500台分の駐車場を増やし、シャトルバスサービスを提供します。今後も、駐車場の状況はさらに改善される予定です。駅前の再開発によって602台分の屋根付き駐車場が作られ、Largo Posteには70台分の地下駐車場が追加されます。また、トファネエリアにつながるスキーリフトができるため、車を使わずにスキー場へ行きやすくなります。

これらの対策によって、オリンピック期間中の交通が便利になり、大会後も便利な駐車インフラが残るでしょう。

Why Invest in the Group Project?

With the upcoming Winter Olympics, a large number of visitors are expected to come to Cortina. During the event, the number of arrivals is projected to reach 513,000 people, which represents a 34% increase compared to 2023. In total, an estimated 1.8 million visitors will come to the area.

Furthermore, tourism in the Cortina region is expected to continue growing in the winter of 2025. The number of tourists is predicted to rise by 4.2%, while international arrivals are expected to increase by 7.5%. Overall, the total number of visitors is forecasted to be 1.8% higher than in 2024.

Given this growth in tourism driven by the Olympics and its long-term impact, investing in the group project presents a significant opportunity.

なぜグループのプロジェクトに投資するのか

冬季オリンピックの開催により、コルティナには多くの人が訪れると予想されています。大会期間中の到着者数は51万3千人に達し、これは2023年と比べて34%増加する見込みです。さらに、合計で180万人が訪れると予測されています。

また、2025年冬のコルティナ周辺の観光状況も改善すると考えられています。観光客は4.2%増加し、海外からの訪問者も7.5%増加する見込みです。さらに、全体的な訪問者数は2024年と比べて1.8%増加すると予想されています。

このように、オリンピックとその後の観光の成長を考えると、グループのプロジェクトに投資することは大きなメリットがあります。

The future of the project 

Based on all the data and the information we gathered in these 5 months, we still believe creating a system which helps regulate the traffic and the parking of cars is going to be a fundamental step towards sustainable tourism in Cortina, especially during the Olympics. We believe that the city is not equipped enough to sustain such a huge flow of tourists without some form of control. So, this is the end of our journey, at least for now. It wasn’t always easy to work with each other, but we managed to overcome any difficulties or cultural differences we had to create this project we are all so proud of. This experience has helped us to grow much as individuals and as group members and we are all so happy to have taken part in this project. プロジェクトの未来

この5ヶ月間に集めたデータと情報に基づき、私たちは、車の交通と駐車を規制するシステムを作成することが、コルティーナの持続可能な観光に向けた重要なステップであると考えている。特にオリンピック期間中、このシステムは不可欠であると信じている。都市はこれほど多くの観光客を支えるには十分な設備が整っていないと考えられ、何らかの形での管理が必要だ。私たちはまだ多くの道のりを歩まなければならないが、このプロジェクトの旅をサポートしたい場合は、以下の連絡先までご連絡いただければと思う。

さて、これで私たちの旅は終わりである、少なくとも今は。お互いに働くことは常に簡単ではなかったが、私たちは抱えていた困難や文化的な違いを乗り越え、このプロジェクトを作り上げた。私たちはこの経験を通じて個人として、そしてグループのメンバーとして成長することができた。私たちはこのプロジェクトに参加できたことをとても嬉しく思っている。たとえこれが私たちの旅の終わりであっても、来年にはワークショップが再び開催されることを期待しているので、どうぞご注目ください。

I’m Sofia, I just wanted to say that I’m very glad that I participated in this workshop because it helped me grow as a human being and as a university student. We had a lot of challenges in the making of this project, but in the end we stuck together as a real team and worked as hard as we could. Thank you for your consideration!

I’m Karube, first of all, I’m grateful to the group members and the coordinators in Mitubishi, and the BEW2 Team. Reflecting on the internship itself, sometimes it was difficult to maintain the motivation for it, and it interrupted the processes, bothering the members. I strongly regret my lack of responsibility. However, my group members’ dedication and cooperation guided us to the final presentation. Again,I want to say thank you to my group members and all related people.
