Good morning!

I am Federica Canossa, one of the two group 8 責任者.

My group dealt with tourism, starting from easier topics such as food and wine tourism to more complex issues such as the relation between tourism and animals or tourism and land use, in order to analyse the ethicality of this type of tourism.

I found the project very interesting, especially because we managed to tackle very current and important issues, as well as express them in Japanese and develop meaningful friendships in the process.

We are living in a very particular time, in which we do not have to take for granted the opportunity of making friends or to be able to share our ideas with peers with similar experiences to our own.

Also, the fact that we were able to connect and share experiences and opinions with collegues from Japan, was what made this project special to me. They allowed us to get in touch with very different realities and on both sides there was an enrichment of our own person; we got to know the other culture better and the project allowed us to travel at a time when it is not possible to leave home.

It was very surprising to me how we all learnt new things in the process. For example, during a meeting they taught me about some particular places in Japan, while in exchange we taught them something about the european culture, such as the summer saving time.

I would like to thank everyone who allowed me to take part in this project, and in particular my project partners who made this experience extraordiary meaningful and beautiful.
